The following fixes and enhancements are available for
ROPES V12.0 (the fix files, when available, will be found on the download page):

HIPER Fix:

The following fix is considered very important for those users employing the ROPES TCP/IP transmission methods (LPRD or SMTP), and should be implemented as soon as possible. Permanent fix information will be provided soon.

RMC12000 - 03/30/2007 - The Linkage Edit control cards provided for modules ROPELPRP and ROPEMRDP are not correct. While the modules will link and execute, the performance of the region in which they run may be adversely affected. Please insert the statement:

INCLUDE SYSLIB(EZACICAL)

immediately after the INCLUDE SYSLIB(DFHEAI) statement in the LINKIN3 member of the ROPES.SOURCE library for both of the named modules.

 

RMC12001 - 08/10/2006 - The Batch Queue Reorganization has been significantly restructured to replace the browse of the PCR file for each report with the use of the ROPERPI index file. This will reduce the I/O of the job by at least 90%. We also added a new command, $WTOMSG, to allow the program to issue WTO messages for all significant events and errors.

RMC12002 - 08/16/2006 - The Queue Reorganization scheduler program has been updated to provide sample code for controlling the scheduing of the online queue reorg program based on the day of the week.

RMC12003 - 08/18/2006 - The Online Queue Reorganization has been updated to use the R#OR start methods that can notify printers that are not terminal attached tasks/devices such as JESP, LPRD, or SMTP printer. THIS FIX IS RELEASED CONCURRENTLY WITH RMC12004 AND IS NOT AVAILABLE SEPERATELY.

RMC12004 - 08/18/2006 - The Online Queue Reorganization has been enhanced to produce an optional activity report similar that produced by the Batch Queue Reorganization program. New System Control parameters are added to support this new feature.

RMC12005 - 09/26/2006 - The Report To Printer Index Build Utility must be run against an empty ROPERPI cluster. This requirement is lifted.

RMC12006 - 12/08/2006 - The RORS transaction will loop if the ROPERIB data set is closed and unenabled.

RMC12007 - 12/11/2006 - The ROPES Automatic Startup program does not display the printer id if a printer cannot be started.

RMC12008 - 12/18/2006 - The ROPES Automatic Startup program does not display the transaction id if a printer cannot be started.

RMC12009 - 01/22/2007 - ROPES module ROPEDRVR packaged with V12 is not at the correct level. ASRAs may occur when it is used.

RMC12010 - 01/24/2007 - ROPES fix RMC11013 added TOKEN keywords to the EXEC CICS UNLOCK commands used for the ROPEQBR data set to terminate MASSINSERT operations.

RMC12011 - 01/24/2007 - ROPES module ROPEBLRL incorrectly closes the ROPERIB data set.

RMC12012- 02/02/2007 - ROPES module ROPEOFLE was omitted from the CUM11001 object library.

RMC12013- 03/09/2007 - Support for PPDS (Personal Printer Data Streams is added as an enhancment. This fix has been superceded by RMC12016.

RMC12014-03/29/2007 - Source library member ADDCSD12 is not present in the distribution material.

RMC12015 - 05/23/2008 - Support for direct printing to an IP socket is added as an enhancment. This fix incorporates and supercedes fix RMC12013.

RMC12016 - 05/03/2007 - ROMT Transaction Copyright message will now match the text in other tasks.

RMC12017 - 08/03/2007 - For some LPD servers the Job Id must not be nulls (X'00').

RMC12018 - 08/13/2007 - RSTU Transaction Copyright message will now match the text in other tasks.

RMC12019 - 08/12/2007 - ROPEDRVR abends with ASRA after certain types of printer maintenance. Fix is superceded by RMC12023.

RMC12020 - 11/15/2007 - ROPEDRVR E-mail processing fails if the data in the "(#" control lines contains the IPDS/PPDS Escape Character. Fix is superceded by RMC12023.

RMC12021 - 02/14/2008 - Custom implementation of new translation fucnctions for LPR and Direct Socket printing. To be released as RMC13010 and incorporated in Release 14.

RMC12022 - 03/12/2008 - ROPEDRVR logic added for PPDS processing leaves the printer in a page but flags the printer as being at top of form. Fix is superceded by RMC12023.

RMC12023 - 03/24/2008 - ROPEDRVR logic for IP devices will not paginate correctly if new data arrives during the time that the printer is active printing an earlier document.

RMC12024 - 03/24/2008 - ROPEBLRL logic will loop and eventually overrun dynamic storage if SHOW EMPTY REPORTS is set to N and all or some of the reports in the input data set (ROPERIB or ROPEALR) are empty.

RMC12025 - 04/24/2008 - Withdrawn (PE). Install RMC12023 instead.

RMC12026 - 01/25/2009 - Superceded by RMC12027.

RMC12027 - 06/10/2010 - The ROPES CPU checking algorithm has been changed to use the CSRSI system service. The ROSS panel has been displaying the z/OS level as a single digit, which is no longer valid in z/OS V1.R10 and above.

RMC12028 - 06/22/2010 - Diagnostics generator. USE ONLY ON NSTRUCTION OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT.

RMC12031 - 08/26/2010 - A new batch utility is available to provide batch updating of the ROPELPRO data set while the data set is open in CICS.

RMC12032 - 11/21/2011 - The current page number shown on the browse panel will be incorrect after a Find command results in a not found condition or an RFIND request gets the Bottom Of Report result.

RMC12033 -11/10/2012 - To permit Quick Start automated by IPCP, the transaction RSTQ is defined to execute a modified ROPESTAR. If the transaction code is RSTQ, ROPESTAR will perform a Quick Start.
